So there a plenty of people who when making the servant Arjuna give him the same second line as Karna. No. Please never do that. That is a Karna specific thing. Karna became a god and is basically Surya that's why he gets the defense against people like Cu. Arjuna never did anything like that. If Kintoki's stat sheet is considered canon then maybe.

Petri was faster, but again, no real reason not to do something similar with Arjuna/Indra. Except Indra's a sky/lightning/rain god. Suck it Iskandar.

It's funny that you link something that is more than 2 years old as well. Neither CCC or F/A light novels were a thing then. I don't particularly feel like my old posts are worth defending, but I don't see why You's arbitrariness would have an impact on their content either. As I see it my imagination is worth about as much as these garbage translations.

Minus the part where Arjuna didn't become one with Indra, which is why it's a Karna thing.

Because Karna unified with Surya he has the highest Divine Spirit aptitude and because of that he displays high defensive powers against sun god peeps with Divinity B or lower. That's really it. I not making any assumptions on that.

Either way all the commentary I make is a space below the translations. And it's really just that, commentary of how I think this entry affects stuff. Just like how food does it. If there's something you have to admire about food, it's how he organizes everything so it's easy to access. If you don't like the commentary don't read it or tell me my commentary sucks and to go suck a dick if you think it's that horrendous or better yet do what yokushi did and we can have a fun argument.

As for the translations themselves, yeah they're pretty bad, it'd be better and easier for me to paraphrase but even if how I word things and express things is bad the content is accurate and if it isn't you should correct it because the runes are posted so anyone can do that. If you think it's that bad of a translation, translate it yourself.

As for your post, you shouldn't say it's garbage like that. I'm sure you worked very hard on it and thought it good enough to show people otherwise you wouldn't have posted it. Two years ago or not you shouldn't disparage it so lightly. After all, it's much better than these translations.

Either way I think this earns me a +1 Good Job post.

I'm not sure what you're on, but reading comprehension can't be your strong suit.

Every divinity entry describes why they have that rank of Divinity. In this case "Sun God Surya's son. After death he unified with Surya making Karna one who possesses the highest Divine Spirit aptitude."

Compare that to Herakles. "As the son of Zeus, the leader of the gods, and having been accepted as one of the gods after his death, the Divinity of Herakles can be said to be of the highest class."

It's only after that that the text relates to Karna's Divine Spirit "aptitude" as the cause for the defensive effect: "This Divine Spirit aptitude is for when fighting Sun God Class Heroic Spirits with Divinity B rank and lower. High defensive power is shown. "

So, Surya Unification >(is the cause for)> High aptitude = Defensive effect.

Obviously tons of other Divinity stats lines doesn't include it because they probably came up with it later and kind of swing swong with it. As you mentioned yourself, Kintoki from CMIV has the same kind of effect and as far as I know he's not Karna.

This is the assumption, and the haughtiness. It doesn't say its Karna specific, you just drew that conclusion by making an assumption, which you then even go back on just in case? ("If Kintoki's stat sheet is considered canon then maybe.") So You commands "NEVER DO IT!" on the basis of ...maybe.

Falling back on "bleh bleh, food did it" is cheap since while he certainly is pretty knowledgeable, it's not like he's never been wrong. If you want to compare yourself to him you've gotta translate better, in the first place.

Also: "If you think it's that bad of a translation, translate it yourself."

I still think it's Karna specific since both in CCC and Apocrypha he has been the only one who has had the second line, and it's not like a Cu thing in which his SN and Extra divinity explanation are different, and Kintoki was scrapped so I don't think he should be counted.

Why are you so concerned about the canonicity of fanfic servant sheets, when even the original authors make up new shit all the time?

I don't really give a shit about what people think about me. It's mostly about the content.

When I read the blog more in-depth after my first comment, since I usually just skim them because I can't handle reading them for too long, I found all the absolute statements and commands from you to be very poorly formulated and contradictory. This is jarring because they seem so confident and resolute. When people think they're matter and they're just making shit up, that does kind of upset me.

There are many assumptions and premises that have to be innately accepted for your arguments to hold any water, which is pretty poor handling of the source material from someone who is supposed to be deciphering it.

Step it up if you want to make commentary without getting called out, otherwise just shut up and translate.

Well, Kintoki was probably scrapped due to "no Eastern" heroes rule, not because dubious canonicity. Also, David was supposed to have slight protection against Christian mysteries due to being ancestor of JC.

About Kintoki, the rule probably had something to do with it, but the specific reason they mentioned in an interview was that it wouldn't make sense for him to not be a protagonist, but his powerlevels and personality would overshadow the other protagonists.
