Why Sakura is my favorite heroine even though I haven't finished Fate/Stay Night.

While I may not be incredibly active/vocal on the forum I do know that I have at least mentioned once that Sakura is my favorite heroine of FSN. So much so that I was really upset by the fact I couldn't do her route first :c But I got over that.

Even though I haven't gotten to Heaven's Feel yet, FATE was all I needed to fall for the girl. For several reason:
  • Purple Hair - Purple is my favorite color so whenever I come across a character that is associated with the color purple it always gets them bonus points.
  • Big Boobs - I like big breasts. (I like big hips/butts too~)


And those are the only two reasons.

I'm joking I am not that shallow. But to be honest before I found out that the routes were locked I was going for Sakura first because she had purple hair... So I am little shallow. But as I played through Fate I found her to be pretty cute with her shyness/timidness but what really won me over was defiance. I loved how she was a really sweet girl with a defiant streak in her. I especially adored when she was all "I don't understand" to Rin.

She can also cook, and I like female characters who can cook.

I'm also pretty lucky in that I got FSN right away before browsing any fan communities. So I didn't get turn away from her by people's comments...even though I rarely get influenced by people's comments on things unless they are valid points for/against something. I also doubts that HF will make me dislike/like her less.

It's kinda funny how I dislike Saber so much she's got onto my "won't draw (ever again) unless people pay me to" and Sakura (who is very hated) is my (close-second) favourite (after Taiga).

For those who are curious: I dislike Saber because of all of her character whoring.

Sorry, if this is really ramble-y and not well thought out I swear that I did try but I suck at writing out my thoughts in a way that makes sense (also why I won't go on Sakura defending crusades becuase I suck at debates, but I'm sure there are more than enough Sakura fans on this forum to defend her.)

    But Sakura is not uninteresting. Just because they can't be fucking bothered to research her character, that doesn't make them any less of a bunch of fucking morons.

    And, what about those fucking shitty paper things? I see absolutely no reason to include Ilya in there and not Sakura, it just makes no fucking sense at all.

    Illya is more popular, therefore more people would want stuff based on her.

    I think the papercrafts are cute anyway.

    Although, I know which one they should have made instead... *points to own avatar*

    Again, it wasn't the marketers that wouldn't care... it's the audience. The marketers care about what the audience cares about. If the audience doesn't care, the marketers aren't going to waste money trying to get people to change their minds.

    That's why Illya gets a cutout and not Sakura - more people care about Illya and the marketers simply produce goods that would meet that demand.

    Funny thing is though, Dark Sakura is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy down on the popularity polls in comparison to Normal Sakura, and that is in almost every one of them. Plus she gets as much, if not more fanart than Dark Sakura. Considering two people on TM staff like Normal Sakura as well, I can't really say that is the case. The sales figures I can't explain, they seem strange considering how things are.

    I've seen way more generic looking characters than her get good sales. *shrugs* Oh well.

    Mike and DP are mistaken here, there's very little merchandise of dark Sakura. She only has one figure, and it came out just a couple months ago (which would be why Mike probably saw it in a few places, because it's still readily available, while "normal" Sakura has several but they are much older so they are harder to get a hold of).

    As for the polls, anyone who likes Sakura's dark side probably likes the whole package, so they'd just vote "Sakura". Doesn't necessarily mean nobody likes dark Sakura.

    Yeah, I'm talking about what was on sale in Akihabara, not what was on sale more generally....
