What To Expect When I Blog, And Other Randomness

I already have my own blog on Blogspot. Using the blog here would seem redundant. Since this is ostensibly a fansite for all things Type-Moon related, I will limit all of my entries here to that. This way, I can talk about really esoteric Type-Moon material, since in my other networks, readers would most likely say, "What the fuck is a Saber, and why does it hold an invisible sword?"
With that said, visual novels! I like them . . . when they don't suck. My first visual novel was Tsukihime, (Ah! See!? Tying in with the theme!) and I made a damned good choice, for it was my favorite VN before I discovered Umineko. But in case you didn't know, I'm doing video reviews of visual novels on Youtube. Even though I only do slideshows for reviews (It's so I don't violate Youtube policy. Don't question my style!), and I release them . . . very slowly, I want to review them like so, since no one else seems to.
I've only completed one for Tsukihime and Kagetsu Tohya, and am currently working on one for Fate Stay Night. They were the first VNs I completed. After that, my schedule will mix up. You can probably guess what the fourth VN I will formally review will be.
But before I tell you, I want to apologize.
Tsukihime, I'm sorry I said the Hisui route sucked.
Kagetsu Tohya, I'm sorry I said you felt more like after desserts when compared to the full course meal Tsukihime was.
FSN, I'm sorry for calling the Fate route "Generic."
Planetarian, I'm sorry for saying the ending dragged on too long, and should've added more scenes to better flesh out the setting, instead of desperately making the reader feel bad about himself/herself at the end.
Little Busters, I'm sorry for calling Komari an infantile moeblob, and the Mio and Kud routes sucky.
Clannad, I'm sorry for criticizing the fact that the way you handled certain scenes sucked compared to the anime counterpart.
Umineko, I'm sorry for making fun of everyone's hands and episode 7.
Why do I apologize? Because they weren't Katawa Shoujo, that's why.
Okay, okay, KS isn't outright horrible, but it failed to live up to its hype. Also, Shizune route was balls. I had to force myself to finish that. I couldn't bring myself to get 100% completion, because I just don't care about these characters. I did go back and get a bad end for Hanako, since she had the best route, but this bad end, everyone was like, "Oh! It's so powerful! You'll cry so much!" And I got it, but I was like, " . . . that's it?"
Oh, just for kicks, whenever I finally do the KS slideshow review on Youtube, I'll have tags that read as follows, "I" "Regret" "Nothing". I appreciate that KS is raising awareness for various physical disabilities, but I feel that they could've done so much more with the concept.
And yet irony of ironies, I was the first one to defend KS when some jackass on Anime News Network decided to make fun of it. Remember that? And why am I talking about KS? Shouldn't I be rambling about Nasuverse power levels or some shit?
Actually, let me do that. It's my belief that even if someone's stats surpass another, it doesn't automatically mean that person will win a battle. Let's put it in RPG terms. I have a Saber, and my opponent has a Lancer. The Lancer is 8 levels higher than my Saber. On a one-to-one fair combat basis, I would lose. However, if I use good tactics, and if my opponent is too dumb to take advantage of things in his favor, I could still win. (Just keep using super effective techniques; it worked when I was still playing Pokemon games.) Remember how Gilgamesh's pride did him in.
I don't know what else to say, but I just wanted to thank Type-Moon for giving me a good introduction to VNs.
