Turn them off
Turning them off doesn't get rid of them, though. I'll still know they're there, lurking... hiding. Terrorizing the poor fools I chat with who don't have emotes turned off.

I like the "rofl" one actually It's so obnoxious you just gotta respect it.
I don't see anything wrong with graphic emoticons themselves but Skype's are so exaggerated they become outright obnoxious.
