That'll be our union boss in that picture there (he's really an awesome guy - I love to flip him out by wearing shorts to work when it's about 60 degrees), and it also explains some of the crap I have to put up with every day.

And yes, I've got a bus of the "special" kids for one of my first schools in the afternoon. They'll mouth off even to me, and I'm hardly a small dude or a pushover.

If you're wondering why I haven't been here as much, that is a good chunk of why. Work's mentally taxing enough that some nights I simply come home, eat, and sleep, to get up and do it all over again the next day.

At least the other three schools I handle are generally easy-breezy. Screw that fourth one though.

    That job probably would be a lot easier if parents would just beat the shit out of their kids to teach them to not be horrible.

    For the other three schools, they're compliant. Indeed, my second school in the afternoon, I can't think of a single time I had to write them up. They always get candy on Friday afternoons as a result. (No, I'm not the one handing it out. Driver does.)

    For that problematic school, a good bit of getting right up in their face and telling them what I need to tell them, or we pull the bus over and no one goes home until the issue is sorted out or until Safety comes - whichever comes first.

    Though I did get news today that one of the problematic kids will be dropped from my bus effective next Wednesday. Which is good, because he talks a lot of shit and there's like 2-3 kids on the bus who want to beat his ass, meaning I can't even get off the bus like I'm supposed to, because they will wait for that moment and take it upon themselves to pop him while I'm off.

    Oh yeah: Had to write that kid up again as yesterday afternoon he damn near got another kid to punch him in the face.

    "Well my momma said that she don't care if I get suspended because it's self defense."

    I made sure I put down in the report not only that quote, but that he instigated it.
