  1. A Stitch in Time

    I posted in the Fanfic Crossover Thread (or Idea Thread?) that Fate/Grand Order isn't even out yet, and I'm brainstorming ways to cross it with other Fate properties. At the time, I was cooking up something about Rin and Shirou at the Clock Tower getting pulled into Chaldea as Zouken or Darnic show up as a surprise benefactor and not-so-surprise antagonist. Then I decided that was a weak idea and got the ball rolling on this front instead.

  2. On Finishing Things

    It's weird when stuff ends. TV shows, video games, books, pretty much anything that you'd normally sink hours into. What was once a favourite time sink is now gone. You can't just mindlessly rely on it more. You can't ever read a Harry Potter book for the first time after finishing the series. You'll never again go through seasons of anticipation and theory crafting while waiting to see how Breaking Bad will break your heart in the next episode. And you can only ever 100% Metal Gear Rising once, ...

    I used to think people were just being dicks whenever they said I was pale enough to be a vampire, but coming back and seeing the blood in and around my mouth made the resemblance disturbing.

    Seriously, I looked like the kind of person you'd expect to have the surname Von Carstein and a horde of skeletal minions.
