Vol7 Ch5
Jiro woke up to find himself chained to a chair. The dog-suit was also stripped off him. All around the room are pictures of Kanade, not just on posters but also on towels, cups, bedding, T-shirts… to the point even the computer screen and the mouse pointer is a Kanade picture. There’s also countless dolls of Kanade around.
Ichigo is in front of him, sleeping while holding a giant pillow with a life-size picture of Kanade on it. Jiro called her out on faking being asleep. Ichigo did this to Jiro because she doesn’t like how Kanade is so close to another guy; that has never happened before. Jiro’s offered a luxurious residence away from the mansion, but it turned out to be the same tent Subaru’s father had back during Golden Week.
Jiro denies he’s more than just friends with Kanade (even with the kiss and all that) so Ichigo brought out the chainsaw. Ichigo mentioned offhand she knew Jiro’s influences with Usami, and from how she said it Jiro realised he had heard that phrase said that way before: members of the ‘Arts & Crafts’ club (refers back to Ch1). Ichigo admitted she’s the club president, ranked last place because if she went all out she might kill someone so she forfeited the ranking matches. Ichigo may be 19, but the Kanade’s father pulled some strings to have Ichigo enrolled to serve Kanade if necessary. The Arts & Crafts club was originally not a combat one (Ichigo made Jiro’s dog-suit herself), but after Shure joined it became that way.

Jiro realised Ichigo from the start only called him ‘newbie’ but called Usami and Kureha by name because they’ve all met each other before. Ichigo asked Shure what had changed Usami so much, and Shure said it’s due to Jiro. Ichigo also said Jiro had changed Kanade as well; before she never looked forward to school so much, and lately Kanade talked a lot more about Jiro. Originally Ichigo thought she and Subaru can protect Kanade if anything happens, but she found she’s wrong. Ichigo thinks due to Jiro Kanade have gotten soft, she’s worrying about things and she’s showing her weak side at times. Ichigo declared she loves Kanade because she’s sharp – like how she collected so many weapons because they’re sharp. Ichigo wants Jiro to say what he did to make Kanade lose her edge, like what he did to change Usami – and revved up the chainsaw, telling him if he refuses then, well…

Jiro hastily said though he’s a servant he’s also Kanade’s friend, like she said on his first day here, so torture shouldn’t be a option to interrogate him. Ichigo accepted that, and changed her track:

Seduction.

Jiro tried very hard not to stare at Ichigo after she slipped off her maid uniform, and ignore the black lingerie with garterbelt. Ichigo said Kanade had mentioned Jiro has a obsession with maids and garterbelts, which Jiro denied vehemently. Ichigo then suggested she takes off her headdress, and Jiro involuntarily exploded, saying a maid can’t possibly do that or she’s a failure as a maid. He quickly regretted his outburst.
Ichigo complimented his honesty about his likes, and told him she’ll show him what a maid can do. She took off her eyepatch (Jiro noted she must wear that as a hobby, since her eyes are beautiful), and slowly sat herself down on Jiro’s lap. Ichigo whispered ‘Master’ (goshujin-sama) to Jiro and hugged him. The softness is almost too much for Jiro and he thought he might die from the pleasure. Ichigo said she want to ask him something, and from how she said it and the prolonged contact Jiro felt his gynophobia acting up. At this rate his condition will be exposed. He’s feeling faint, and on the verge of blacking out he remembered the kiss with Subaru the day before.

Subaru was sent to find Jiro after Kanade didn’t see him around, and then Subaru heard voices from Ichigo’s room as she walked past. She broke into the room, and finds Ichigo on top of Jiro. Ichigo stepped away from Jiro and held up her chainsaw, then told Subaru it’s polite to knock on the door before entering.

Ichigo and Subaru is about to fight, and Jiro cursed how he can’t help so the only thing he can do is cheer Subaru on. He did so, telling how he’ll trust her, his best friend, many times and Subaru collapsed how after Jiro said “They’ll always be best friends”. Subaru mumbled she should have made it clear back during the summer festival. Jiro has no idea what made Subaru down, and thought maybe his cheering was too hot-blooded and Subaru felt embarrassed even just hearing it.

Kanade shows up and ordered Jiro to be freed. Ichigo refused, on the grounds that Jiro had made Kanade unhappy in some way and so he needs to be removed; she’ll even fight Kanade, her employer, if necessary.
Kanade said she’ll take Ichigo on then, and told Subaru to stand back even when the butler offered to jump in, saying as their mistress she can’t be defeated by a maid.

However… Kanade fainted before the fight even started, much to everyone’s shock. Jiro had thought it’s a ploy by Kanade to make Ichigo lower her guard, but no matter how much everyone yelled Kanade didn’t wake up.

Vol7 Ch6
9:36pm, two hours after Kanade’s sent into the hospital. Jiro and Usami comforted Subaru, telling her everything will be fine. Ichigo said it’s only anemia, so after some rest Kanade will be fine; but just in case they took Kanade to the hospital.

Subaru asked if Jiro had seen any sign of this happening. Jiro thought about how Kanade been showing signs of lack of sleep, going to the dark side, and being out of character by employing Usami when Kanade knew she’s not good at dealing with her. Jiro answered he has no idea what could have made Kanade faint like that. Usami told Subaru she has no idea what led to this either.

Kureha went to meet up with Jiro, Subaru and Usami after she’s finished club activities. Jiro asked Kureha if there has been anything weird happening with Kanade lately, before Subaru could tell her what happened. Jiro thought if lately Kureha have gotten to the point she called Kanade ‘Onee-sama’ during their stay then she might know something. Kureha says she might know something, and only finally decided to tell them because Jiro says this is important and Subaru asked her personally.

Kureha told them Kanade might have fallen in love with someone. The other three present was all stunned to speechlessness after they heard this. Jiro thought Kanade’s a high school girl, so it’s not impossible for her to have someone she likes. He does pity whoever caught her eye though, that guy will likely die if he associates with her.
Jiro asked Kureha who it could possibly be. Kureha stared back at Jiro, asking him if he really didn’t notice. Jiro said he doesn’t, then wondered why did Kureha say that to him. Was it someone he knows? Maybe Subaru? Then he thought that can’t be right, since it’ll be forbidden love between not just mistress and butler, but also between girls.

Kureha heaved a deep breath, then said to them like she’s confirming the most obvious thing in the world:

“Didn’t Onee-sama always have been in love with nii-san?”
