So I watched Fate/Zero with my girlfriend.

And it honestly went better then I thought it would. She was bored to tears by the first episode, and I can see why it's mostly people standing around and talking for 45 minutes but she actually enjoyed the second episode once all the servants showed up. She seemed to like Waver and Rider the most of the characters she did see, which didn't surprise me because is a big fan of girly looking male characters.

    Yeah, for a first-time viewer of the series, or one used to more action (or action in the first episode), F/Z probably is tough to go through.
    To be entirely honest, I only have a few from F/Z that I actually like... >.>

    Understandable, but at the same time I've found F/SN is just as hard a sell because of Shirou being a giant sexist idiot for a decent chunk of the plot and the animation reeking of DEEN QUALITY.

    We've watched both Madoka and Evangelion [including End of Eva] together, and everything has been fine. I think she can handle Zero.
