Elf's Random Musings

Husband Bulges and Mermen!

Rate this Entry
So, if you're a fan of horror movies, or really intelligent comedies, I'd really recommend seeing "Cabin In The Woods". It's a fun horror movie that has its tongue in its cheek and polks fun at the genre. Which has needed to happen for years.

And since Joss Whedon co-wrote it, it's got a lot of funny parts to it as well.

Plus "Husband Bulge", one of the best euphemisms I've heard in a long time.

Not to mention, the Merman.

I was rather surprised to see a unicorn though and not a killer doll.

Oh god the Unicorn had me laughing so hard when I saw it.

Yeah me too, I like the intern though.

Cabin in the Woods was great, watched it in the cinema a few days after release.

The Intern was played by Tom Link, who was Andrew on Buffy. The Chemist was Amy Aker, who was Fred on Angel. Because Whedon likes using the same actors over and over again when he likes them. Which explains why Nathan Fillion pops up in all of his stuff so often.

Ah I thought I recognized her (Frank). Hopefully with all the cash/popularity gained Whedon made with The Avengers, he can finally do something with Firefly!
  7. Elf's Avatar
Well, part of the problem with doing something again with Firefly is that most of the actors are tied up with other projects. Fillion has Castle would be the biggest one. Plus? Fillion's getting a little old.

You are right about the actors but I dunno it seems like such a rich universe, they could introduce a new ship, though that would probably piss off a lot of fans, *sigh* just me dreaming again.

It wouldn't be the same without Filion. He's part of what made Firefly so great.

However they've talked about going Animated.
  10. Char's Avatar
Never heard about that, it would be a good move imo, they could easily set it in between the end of the series and the start of the movie.
