Like Gaming? Want to raise money and save lives while you do it?

Then join Extra Life 2012 - an epic, 24-hour gaming marathon in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, where gamers rally friends and family members to sponsor their play, with any funds raised going to help and improve the lives of kids at many children's hospitals!

Since 2008, gamers with big hearts have raised more than 2 million dollars for this cause - and this year, on October 20th, 2012, I'd like to ask all of you to join the fight.

WHEN: October 20, 2012 (Or we can choose a date that works for our schedule)

WHERE: Anywhere you like to game (Most people play from home!)

GAME/PLATFORM: Play any games on any platforms you want including mobile devices! Ideally I'd like to set up a mass play session on a Steam game or a MMO though! Best of all, its free to register for Extra Life absolutely free

HOW IT WORKS: Simply ask your friends and family to sponsor your efforts, either with a monthly pledge or a one-time gift. (Remember, any amount is fine and every contribution helps!) Then, have a seat and play games on October 20th.

WHO IT BENEFITS: Gamers select the children's hospital they want to play for during registration. In the US and Canada alone, there are more than 170 CMN Hospitals to choose from, though players may also choose to play for hospitals in the UK and Australia. Unfortunately, we don't have too many selections outside of the these countries quite yet, but we're working on that.

WHY DO IT: Why not? Its a chance to do what you love (gaming), to help out a great cause (children in need of care - the hospitals this supports treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay, and deal with scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few), and to feel great about yourself. Plus, if saving lives isn't enough for you, any donations made are tax-deductible.

WHO: You! All of you! I'd very much like to get a Beast's Lair team going, if at all possible - I'm sure there are a lot of us who have a passion for gaming, and who know quite a few people who might want to help. The more the merrier, right?
