Bakemontagari really is a great series, the writing is excellent and most of the characters are very likable. Especially considering the whole thing is a series of character introductions.

Nisemontagari on the other hand is great writing + so much fan service that it kind of hurts at times. Though I give it props for making Shinobu into an interesting character. Oh that and Koyomi's sister beating the crap out of him.
