You know, about 6 months ago I started looking for a BL artist to help draw an OC or two for me. How hard could it be, it's just a mild sketch and I've got a spare fifty or so to spend. Fast forward 6 months and both Tusia and Nashoki have left BL because they're busy with higher Ed. Sigh... I swear I've got bad luck with choosing artists. Who knows, maybe if I ask all the artists in BL maybe I could cause a mass migration and empty BL of its art assets. Mwhaha...

Ahem, in any case, does anyone know of good artists that can draw similar in style to Tusia or Nashoki?

    If you don't want to leave the confines of this forum, Apple and Kotonorris both do comissions.

    If you do...recently I got linked an inexpensive tumblr dudegirl whose portfolio looked really nice for the price, lemme look thorugh my shit.

    Also, check out conventions too man. That's where I've gotten a lot of stuff done, like the Forest picture that you've seen in my sig.

    I've always figured they didn't want to work on it becuase they're busy and because they hate me they didn't like me bugging them. (shrug). Can't do much if you're willing to pay and they don't want to/can't work on it.

    Really, I'm not into anime like that. It'd feel weird going into those convention centers (especially since I wouldn't recognize even 1/10th the anime on display)... despite the fact I'm a great F/SN fan... I'm odd that way.

    He/She can work with references, that's all you need. You will have to flood people with references to get what you want anyway, no matter if they know what you want them to know or not.

    I'd suggest just talking to that person, but believe me, that price/quality ratio is veeeery hard to find if you browse DA/tumblr for commissions. Which is something you could always do, but it takes a while and I doubt you will find someone who is much better without a huge jump in the price.

    there are a couple other people who are good at drawing here but they don't draw much

    I'm not sure if you browse or lurk on deviantArt (or even if you care for the site), but I know there are a lot of people around there that can draw in a similar style to TAKEUCHIFACETM or other anime/manga styles of that sort.
    Just depends on taking a bit of time to look and price range, AFAIK.
