Where do you guys put your computers?

Rate this Entry
... Because I think I figured out why it's so godawful hot in my room- the computer's ejecting hot air into the corner and the heat isn't escaping, just warming up the general area like a mini-furnace. Air conditioner helps but srsly I'm not going to spend hundreds a month on that crap.

Where do you guys keep your computers? On the floor or on the table? How do you help the heat escape?

Point its exhaust away from a wall, get another fan to move the exhaust out to somewhere you don't care about.

Well, the PC at my home is in the living room, and since the air circulates very well we don't have this problem. Find a way to make the air circulate in your room? Try letting any doors and windows open whenever you can or if this doesn't work, just move it somewhere else.

It's just there. To the left is the window. No real discomfort.

It's a laptop, so, on my nuts. The exhaust goes directly toward making me sterile instead of heating up the room

    A+ Response. Sigging this.

My setup looks like Enhance's except less messy, organized wires, and I built a custom wooden stand for my tower to sit on that is about 3 inches high, and as wide and as long as the tower, so it does not sit directly on the floor.

My cables aren't messy. That's pretty much the only possible and natural way for them to be there.

LOL! That is messy as hell. One zip tie will make it look 400x better. No offense, a spade is a spade!
