free weights suck, but their effective

Free Gym on Fort Hood, I hope get taken there sometime soon, if it really is free.

In the meantime, Texas Heat and our Free Weights are my friend. Can't believe June is almost over already.

That's one month. 2 more to go

    Just be careful. My friend almost lost a fingernail while benching with dumbbells and he got a hand caught between the ones he was lifting and the ones he had been using for something else and he failed to clean up before moving to his next exercise. Thing looked gross.

    Doctor said he might have minor nerve damage.

    That's why I'd rather go to a Gym with Safer Equipment, we used to have our own weight-lift machine, but it had to be thrown out.

    Nerve damage sounds horrible

    Just take it slow. Form is always key. Doing less reps with less weight correctly >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>> doing more reps with more weight incorrectly. Both for general fitness contribution and safety.

    This. Oh god this. It never hurts to get someone who knows whats up to look over your routine even if you've been doing it for ages. If you accidentally gradually taught yourself to do something incorrectly that's not cool.

    What really sucks is when you do everything correctly and your body screams no. It's why I can't do squats.

    Glad my brothers didn't teach me the incorrect way, putting too much weight is the way to hurting yourself alright.

    Doing a Butterfly Press with Free Weights made my arms scream for dear life since I haven't done them like that ever before

    Wait I can't remember names for anything. Is that the one where you lie flat on your back with your arms perpendicular with the bench and then you lower them 90 degrees away from your body until you're a big 'ole T and then bring them back up to the resting position?

    I actually liked doing SS a lot. Probably because you actually notice progress steadily and fast.

    What should've been posted by Vigilantia. Its a shame that the guy who posted the video doesn't get that the song is ripping on bodybuilders and stuff.
