I wrote a novel! Like, an actual, real, honest-to-God novel that tells a story, has a beginning, middle, and end, characters, the WORKS. Granted, this was the easy part of the novel writing-process, what with me now needing to have said novel gutted by a professional editor and needing to find an agent/publisher to take it and... it's gonna be a slog. Anyone who knows a reputable, trustworthy editor who doesn't eat the flesh off the bones of their clients, I'd appreciate the name.

Still, I feel like I actually accomplished something big for the first time in a long time, even if the accomplishment is only partly done. And that's... nice. ^_^

    Anyone who knows a reputable, trustworthy editor who doesn't eat the flesh off the bones of their clients, I'd appreciate the name.
    There are sub-species of editors that don't do this? ._.

    Some just devour you whole. If you're lucky, they'll spit up a mangled version of the text you carried in. When you leave, you'll feel like...

    Seems you've been able to knock one more thing off of your bucket list, meanwhile that one still stands on mine... Someday, when I posses the talent to articulate things proper.

    But, this is no small feat- congratulations are indeed in order.

    Congrats. If your novel is anything like your e-books (and fanfics), it should be pretty good .

    Preliminary research on finding a decent editor suggests that the best way to find a decent editor is to already have a decent editor that you've worked with in the past, because most people who do freelance editing are overpriced frauds.

    My natural high is not yet dead, but it is somewhat diminished.

    Good luck with getting a editor bro. Finding one that is worth a damn is harder then finding gold growing on trees.
