    New things are awwwright.

    Old ones? Not as much. I'm one of those believers that for all intents and purposes, 10-15 years is the ideal copyright term and after that any profit is effectively minimal to none.

    IP, of course, is a different story, but actual products? 10-15.

    I picked up the original on my 3DS, and ATM I'm just waiting to beat it (and get some more money) before I pick up Risky's revenge. This looks pretty snazzy. I'll definitely put some money down for it eventually, probably before the month ends. This and Mighty No. 9, awesome kickstarter stuff...

    Oh, I know. I'm buying it when it comes out, this winter.

    (That's not what this Kickstarter is for. That'll be for a new game next year; the Kickstarter is estimating October 2014.)

    Um, no. Wayforward definitely gets profit from VC sales.

    Nope. I've liked Shantae well before it got its rightful attention. I remember having an animated avatar of her back in like 2005-2006.

    It amounts to basically a royalty amount. You think Nintendo doesn't take a chunk out of that?

    After all, not everyone's going to buy it. Sales of GBC Shantae on the VC aren't exactly going to fund a new game, or they'd not need a Kickstarter, would they?

    How? I'm perfectly willing to fund new games.

    I'm just less willing to pay $4 for a 13 year-old game. Knowing me, I'll probably do it anyway - there's some slight odds that when the 3DS one comes out, the original just may go on sale too.
