Just closed down for another year

No progress because of Hallowe'en and because I'll be away all weekend
So trick-or-treating is done for the year - and despite the rain, I gave out 69 treats. Not our best year, but not bad. Not our worst, either - I distinctly remember trick-or-treating with snow on the ground.
Of those, maybe a third of them were younger kids, but as always, the older ones were in costume and polite - one of them was collecting for the Food Bank, so good for her. And of the younger ones . . .
We had a little ladybug whose daddy couldn't convince her to say "Trick or Treat," but looked adorable with her wings spread. I saw Frankie Stein and Clawdeen from "Monster High," a Snow White whose head only cleared the glass on my front door because of her wig, and what looked like a tiny little girl dressed as "Sofia the First."
And the older ones were fairly inventive, too. We had a leprechaun, the Tin Woodsman (complete with funnel hat), and a blank-faced guy (like a mannequin) who must've had one heck of a time seeing where he was going.
Not my best Hallowe'en, but pretty fun, nonetheless.
