Fuck Egypt

The sites and the sights are nice, the people are awful. The worst place I and my travel partner have been to, I actively recommend not going to Egypt. It's not worth the hassles you get constantly, every moment of every day because you're not Egyptian and thus obviously shit money.

Fuck this place. Childhood dreams of Egypt utterly crushed. There's no romance or mystique or joy in going to the amazing temples, just this dread knowledge that you will be hassled every single step of the way for money.

Fuck Egypt.

    I don't think that all the people in Egypt are terrible.
    Maybe you have met the wrong people there.

    When you're a tourist everybody wants your money, so you're just a wallet to them.

    I was a tourist and everyone was after my money too (visited South Korea with cousin once), but at least they were very courteous and hospitable, and not at all very crass about it though. You sound like you had a very bad experience with very rude people.

    When I was there this guy was claiming that he needed money to buy food and water for his wife, who he was gesturing at.

    She turned around and said "I'm not his wife"

    Get a tan, grow a bit of beard, and wear a taqiyah. Boom, no more problems. Even just two of those would be fine.
