The Big Book of Servants

Rate this Entry
Taking a break from my Servant Analysis (As it has proven more than a little taxing on my nerves) I've decided to update and transfer my... Database? Compendum, I've no idea, list, list of random servant facts over to BL.

General Numbers
* To begin, across all the Fate media, there is a total of One Hundred Fifty-Seven different Servants, not including those that repeat and those that share identity, but not design. This includes Servants featured in Fate/Stay Night, Fate/Zero, Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, Fate/Prototype, Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Blue and Silver, Fate/Apocrypha, Fate/strange fake, Fate/Extra, Fate/Extra CCC, Fate/Extra CCC Fox Tail, Fate/Grand Order, Fate/School Life, Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA, Capsule Servant and Koha-Ace.
* Of these, Seventy-One were designed for a contest for the spin off Fate/School Life while the remaining seventy-seven servants originate from all across the Fate works, making Fate/School Life not only the biggest sole contributor to the list, but its entries occupy almost half of the existing list.
* The most popular class for new servants to appear in is Sabre, containing Twelve servants.
* The least popular classes for new servants is the Lancer class with only nine servants. This is because authors tend to reuse fan favourites such as Cu Chulainn and others such as Benkei.
* The most frequented class in the original trilogy of Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is Assassin, with four unique servants known to have been summoned for it.
* By comparison, the least frequented is Sabre, each itteration being taken by some variant of Artoria Pendragon.

Specific Servant Facts
* Taking into account the Fate/School Life servants, despite their more comical origins, there have been servants from five of the seven continents, even including Antartica, but not South America or Australia.
* Out of all the servants, Fifteen remain unknown, their identities yet to be revealed. These are, the Foxtail Sabre, the Sabre, True Rider and True Archer from Fate/strange fake, the Lancer and Archer from Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Blue and Silver, The Second Assassin from Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA and the Sabre, Lancer, Archer, Rider, two Berserkers, Caster and Shielder servants from Fate/Grand Order.
* Amongst all the servants, there are only two who emanate uniquely from the Fate/Kaleid series, the Berserker, Thor and the previously mentioned, unknown Assassin.
* The servant with the most appearances out of any is Gilgamesh, not counting the Male and Female variants of Arthur as one, coming in at a total of seven.
* Of all the servants originally designed for the cancelled Fate/Apocrypha game, most were used in the creation of the light novels. While Musashibou Benkei, Saint George and Sakata Kintoki, who were not, would eventually find use in the upcoming Fate/Grand Order. The only servant originally designed for the project but whom remain unused is David. The reason for his lack of inclusion in other projects is currently unknown.

Noble Phantasms

* The Servant with the most named Noble Phantasms is Gilgamesh, with a startling eleven. This is not even including items used by either his Prototype version of the Fate/Kaleid version. Taking these into account, it rises to a truly impressive nineteen.
* In second place are EMIYA, Perseus and the Fate/Kaleid Gilgamesh with six each.
* However, taking unnamed Phantasms into account, not only do Gilgamesh and Fate/Kaleid Gilgamesh take the prize for having Phantasms listed as approaching infinite, they are then followed by Emiya's theoretical armaments and finally, the No Name Assassin, with Eighteen Zabaniya techniques.
* Despite the rarity of such things, there is a total of fifteen Noble Phantasms of the EX rank.
* The lowest ranked Noble Phantasm is Bathory Erzsebet belonging to Fate/Extra CCC's Lancer at E-.
* Of the nineteen Zabaniya Noble Phantasms known to exist, only eight have been revealed, along with the No Name Assassin's Phantasmal Pedigree, which is a culmination of the nineteen Zabaniyas.
* The Noble Phantasm capable of targetting the most individuals is the comical Boomelancer from Carnival Phantasm, which has infinite targets, while the Phantasm with the smallest target area is Invisible Air, which, while it can be turned into an attack that strikes multiple targets, only typically effects a single sword.

Gilgamesh has 3 Noble Phantasms: Gate of Babylon, Enkidu and Ea. All the stuff in the Gate is technically not Noble Phantasms, for they are the originals of the item/the item before it became famous.

EMIYA doesn't have one, Unlimited Blade Works is just the closest thing to one.

The second highest after Perseus is Achilles with five.

This is entirely ignoring that all the designs from Fate/School Life are fanmade and have literally no reason being mentioned.

This all seems rather arbitrary and inaccurate. Christemo pointed out one big thing, and then you have stuff like assuming the School Life designs count for anything.

Before Apocrypha came out, did you think the Shirou Kotomine concept held any weight because there was a lot of fan art of it?

Can I do nothing around here without Christemo showing up?

Whatever, the point is, I'm listing quite literally everything from all the Fate materials listed in the first bullet point. As little bearing as the Fate/School Life stuff has, I still threw it in there as something that's been listed.

As for the Phantasms, I'm listing the things that people have and use, not just the ones that are strictly theirs. Unless Gil's armoury suddenly got emptied, he has a bunch of Noble Phantasm armaments even if they are not named or legendless.

Finally, what part of this is inaccurate exactly? I've double checked this one. All of this data is accurate as to the current available information, the only 'inaccuracy' seems to be your disagreements with what data I've included, which is, once again, everything.

Your data is inaccurate because you don't know your technicals.

The fate school life contest is literally fanmail. There's absolutely zero reason to list it. It'd be like Toriyama listing fan-drawn original characters in a DBZ encyclopedia.

Things that people have and use aren't their Noble Phantasms, they're things they have and use. Noble Phantasms are the "crystallized embodiments of a hero's existence". None of the things Gil has in his vault are Noble Phantasms, for in that state they have no fame and no legend to them, they are merely great swords. The swords EMIYA stores in UBW are not the Noble Phantasms, they are simple the blueprints that he can use to create a forgery of them. By then saying Gil has 11 Noble Phantasms and EMIYA 6, when they respectively have 3 and 0, you are creating more of the very confusion the wikia is so utterly famous for: clashing, incorrect information that leaves no one the wiser.

At this point though you're literally not even listening to him. "It's a fanwork." "Yes, I know, I'm listing everything with Fate on the cover published by TM." "It's a fanwork though."

I mean hawkeye can do whatever he wants, I'm just saying that he's doing no one in particular a favor by listing them.

    Nah it's not that.

The actual joke was that South America is so irrelevant that not even fans have made Servants of it when they have of Antarctica.

Ah, okay, the joke flew right over my head, sorry. Though I did just do a quick check, and yeah, still not Australia or South America. There's a minor Paleotologist from Ireland, but nothing from the deadliest place on Earth or South America. Hell, you could throw in Cortez even at a push, he spent time down there, but yeah...
