The Dark Side of the Moon (Kieran's Works)

I'm baaack . . .

Rate this Entry
Exhausted, still, but back (and why did I agree to work a double shift tomorrow? And Friday? ).

Fan Expo was fun; I got Karen Gillian and Tara Strong's autographs, got to see the cast of "Carmilla" (no autographs, sadly - I had to leave the panel before the route to the subway closed; even then, I barely made it). On the Type-Moon front, there was sadly little merchandise, aside from a Figma Saber that was too small (and SD) for the price they were asking. No Prisma Ilya 2wei, damn it.

I did manage to get my hands on "Fate/complete material Volume 1," however, and I saw a couple of cosplayers: one Saber (complete with Invisible Air), and one of Tamamo-no-Mae in black. Underappreciated Casters for the win!

No pictures, sadly - one of these years, I'll have to break down and buy a camera . . .

Normal writing service will resume as soon as I can find the time and/or energy.

...how does one cosplay a Saber with Invisible Air? Did she just walk around miming holding a sword?

You can get all sorts of props these days.

Usually involves transparent material for the sword. More ufotable style where it looks like an invisible sword with blue stuff all over it instead of a magic wind which makes whatever's inside it invisible.

In this case, she had no sword at all - I don't know whether it was somewhere else, or if she'd just never gotten one - but I jokingly asked if she'd gone with Invisible Air over Excalibur or Caliburn, and got a laugh out of her.
