Another Stupid AU Concepy: Fate/age of monsters

Dolly here again with another silly AU

So the premise here would be that following the Age of the Gods that some shake up in the world, I was thinking the appearance of some kind of monstrous god or dragon deity, or something that resulted in monsters flourishing like crazy. Humans, unable to compete with so many different races, begin dying off at an alarming rate. So peace is eventually forged, somehow, between humans and monsters and regular interbreeding begins. This leads to an altered history in which a world built more in tune with nature exists in the modern era and humans are members of the phantasmal species and divided into several dozen different groups.

The Grail War in this universe still exists, and has the same purpose, save for Zouken, a pure blooded human here until the whole worm thing, who intends to use potentially use the grail to wipe the tainted beast blood from humanity as a whole.

For some reason I picture Rin as being part jackal, Shirou as a mixed blood type or chimera where you can't really tell which blood line he belongs to, and Shinji as a normal human who, despite his species having the best magic circuits of the various human groups, is still a crappy mage.

    The end of the Age of Gods was the end of a lot of those fabulous, fantastical species that seem to be the mortar of your story. And that's overlooking the part where the Age of the Gods has ended, but we get a new one?

    Still, the idea of a moonlit world thrust into the light of day could be interesting, even if it smells like furry bait.

    My nasu lore is getting weak i guess, that being said i think it might be a good idea to have some event that caused the more monstrous races to flourish in humanity's place might work.

    It does feels like furry bait. And if the fic is supposed to be set in the same Fuyuki Holy Grail that we've seen so many times, i don't really see the point of the fic.
    I guess it would be fun to see the reactions from the servants (assuming they still are humans) to the new humanity.

    That would be my suggestion at least. It would be better if the transition happened in more recent times so you can have the past X present contrast between the servants and their masters

    Yeah, Imperial and Jetkinen bring up a good point, in that you should probably try adapting the idea more to canon lore.
    Maybe something like a Fate/Extra scenario where magi and the remaining lines of phantasmal species band together to prevent magic's depletion (or whatever the right terminology for it is in Extra)?
    also jackal Rin sounds fantastic, even though I see her being much, much more cattish

    and as a wide post, i was trying for a monster girl setting not a furry one lol
