Just Persona 5 things

Music (V): Sonic the Hedgehog.

Hate it, love it, Sonic has a lot of awesome music. Because of its extended gallery, I'm just going to list the main series. Everyone okay with this? Awesome, let's do this.

Sonic The Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone.

The Sonic song. Remixed a lot of times, on Sonic Advance 3, as the best Sonic vocal theme, even if by accident, it's pretty much the most known song from the series.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Emerald Hill

Another "Green" song. Pretty good overall. (I have not played much Sonic 2 so...)

Sonic & Knucles - Sky Sanctuary

Awesome. The Generations' remixes are also pretty good, but the original is better this time.

Sonic CD - Stardust Speedway "G" mix (JP ver.)

Honestly I like the four versions of Stardust Speedway but the good is the better one 'cause it sounds more... happy, I guess.

Sonic Adventure - Open your Heart. Bentley Jones Arrange

And here is when the Crush 40 era starts. Nothing but Crush 40 'till later. Starting with Open your Heart Adventure's main theme, and final boss theme. Really what else can I say.

Sonic Adventure 2 - Escape from the City. Generations Modern Arrange.

Though one. Live and Learn is a perfect climax song, Throw it all away and E.G.G.M.A.N are perfect character themes, The remix of It doesn't matter is pretty good. Then again "Follow me! Set me free!..."

Sonic Heroes - What I'm made of.

2nd best Crush 40 song. That's all. Incidentally, here is the First one.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG - Solaris Phase 2 (His World Remix.)

First the game sucked. I know. Second the music rocked. His World is the main theme of the game, so this orchestral version makes it even better.

Sonic Unleashed/World Adventure - Super Sonic vs Perfect Dark Gaia.

Again another orchestral remix from the game's main theme. Endless Possibilities is a happy song, so the remix is optimistic. Also Nights gameplay style. Have to mention that.

One two skip Sonic 4, three.

Sonic Colors - Vs Nega Wisp-Armor Phase 2

Another orchestral remix. Reach for the Stars is Sonic Colors' theme. It's a bit corny but this remix is excellent. While only playing for half a minute or so in-game, it is oh so good. "UNLIMITED COLORS! LASER! DRILL! SPIKES! ROCKET! CUBE! HOVER! FRENZY! FINAL COLOR BLASTER!!"

Sonic Generations - The Whole Freaking Soundtrack.

That is all.

Next week* another special. Still not decided on the theme tho.

*Probably in the middle of the week since I am delayed by a week.

I wonder if those youtube videos just made audio logs of the VGMs I ripped for Project2612.

In fact, I'd say there's an extremely high likelihood that they did.

(Granted, I didn't do Sonic 1 or 2 - my co-founder reserved those for himself - but I damn well did Sonic 3.)

You also need to be shot - Sky Sanctuary is Sonic and Knuckles, not base Sonic 3. Only way you get that in Sonic 3 is if you did the lock-on with both games.

...Oh yeah that's right. Let me edit that.

I liked Sonic CD's "Sonic Boom," myself - partly for the novelty of it.

Sonic Boom is cool, Crush 40 singing Sonic Boom is cooler.*

    *Opinions and stuff.

Ahh, Sonic the Hedgehog. I've still got the originals 2, 3, and Sonic and Knuckles for genesis, as well as Adventure 1 and 2 for Dreamcast. Fun times. Fun, fun times.
I think "It doesn't matter" was better for Sonic Adventure 1, than for Sonic Adventure 2, myself.
Also, Crush 40 is pretty good for Sonic Boom, as you yourself said. Though I kinda like the older one for nostalgia.
That reminds me, I need to get Sonic CD on steam soon, with me being able to use my PS3 controller as a gamepad for the computer.
Then again... I have a huge backlog of games already. Meh. Decisions, decisions...

It is kind of sad that you guys are forgetting a few other games, though.

    Rant, ignore me at will
I really wish people would stop with the rumor that Michael Jackson was responsible for some of Sonic 3's music. He wasn't. People who worked with him may have helped, but we've not uncovered anything but the usual "Sonic Team" musicians, i.e; Jun Senoue, did most of the soundtrack. Yes, yes, we've all heard the rumors, and noted the similarity in keys... that still doesn't mean much. It needs proof, until then, it's unknown at best. And considering how mum Sonic Team is about the whole thing, we may never know. The only thing we know for certain: Any new music in Sonic and Knuckles was from Howard Drossin.

Hey! I said main series. I'm planning on doing a post like this with the spin-offs/Advance/Rush laterish.

Granted my head can't separate Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, so that one I give you.
