Just joined Beast's Lair… or is it Ahnenerbe?

I exist now, it seems.
So I'm trying to figure out the purpose of this "blog", because I only ever lurked around the forum.

Also, why is the home page of BL called "Ahnenerbe - Ahnenerbe" while everything else is "*** - Beast's Lair", and why are there emoji's blocking part of my message?
Probably just noob questions.

    More than a decade ago, in its first incarnation, Beast's Lair was a forum of a fansite called The Moonlit World.
    "Ahnenerbe" was a little relic from that time. It refers to the coffee shop hangout in Nasuverse.
