The words that leaked out from her mouth and echoed in her skull were from Saber's voice that she always heard in these dreams.
Even Saber sometimes got irritated...
As AYAKA was considering this, she became convinced this was Saber's past. Then, something that jumped into her field of view startled her.
He was an eccentric man who did not match the surrounding scenery. His name was Saint-Germain, and he was a young man who often appeared in these dreams.
"Mnn, mmm, my bad. I thought that this was a bit urgent. I'm going to be telling Richard something that doesn't mean a thing... its a curse or blessing to a distant world. There's no need for Richard to remember, but if you're listening to this from the future, don't forget about it when you wake up, okay?"
Obviously, this was referring to someone who was dreaming this.
Under Saint-Germain's googles, the eyeballs began to independently squirm.
"An evil but innocent magus... wrong, an ordinary person who got caught up in... also a bit wrong. Not an artificial intelligence, nor a Clock Tower Lord, nor an Asian magecraft society, nor humanity's final hope walking on a scorching or bleached planet. . . "
He mutters for a little while before his face lights up.
"The one with golden hair and glasses... I see, the child that's a pool of magical energy caught up in Ate's chunk of flesh's prank!"
AYAKA was surprised that not only her appearance had been guessed but also her inner nature. Though, she was confused at the reference to Ate's chunk of flesh. That made no sense to her.
"You're the one who's having this dream, right? We've met a few times alright, hah? It's Saint-Germain, but for you, who's watching me in a dream, let me introduce myself again. I'm Saint-Germain. Just a swindler and a simple aristocrat. Well, I can proudly say that to Richard, whom fate will connect you to, I am his friend, soulmate, and platonic homeboy."
"When did we become friends. And what is a 'homeboy'?"
AYAKA could hear Saber's voice, but Saint-Germain ignored iit and continued to speak.
"I wonder if you came here after having a different dream. These eyes are just too unsuited for me; I can't completely peek into the dreams of someone in the distant future. I've gotten tips on how to enter dreams from an incubus acquaintance, but it's just too difficult. The most I can do is stare back at someone peaking at me. Just take it as me respecting what your age calls privacy!"
After reciting something that didn't make sense, Saint-Germain pondered for a brief moment, before saying.
"Does that Richard have a Saber spiritual foundation? If so, super! It'd be quite troublesome for him to have a Rider or Berserker one, so celebrate your good luck, no matter how little luck you've had in life up to now!"
After Saint-Germain spread his arms in a grand gesture, he said something that felt as if he could see through AYAKA's current situation.
"You're probably relieving Saber's memories in deep sleep... absolutely do not forget this."
Like a swindler, these words carved themselves into AYAKA's heart like a blessing and a curse.
"At the end of the day, you must decide everything based on Saber, the Servant in front of you, not the one in the memory."

Just realized this while reading OC2.

Saint Germain's eyes (his Clairvoyance?) allow him to see people staring at him. Whether it be from the future or in dreams.
In this scene, he runs through multiple possibilities for who might be watching the conversation he's about to have with Richard.
One of those possibilities (and the most obvious one) is Fujimaru. So why does Saint-Germain and Narita include Fujimaru in that list?
Because Fujimaru will eventually be seeing Richard's dreams (an by extension Saint-Germain through those dreams). That can only be the case if Fujimaru is contracted with Richard.
Therefore, the newest Strange Fake volume just secretly announced either Richard as a NY/Anniversary Servant or the Strange Fake Collab.
