When ideas get bigger than you expect...

Rate this Entry
I wonder about constantly thinking and thinking about this fan-fiction stuff. It's way too easy for ideas to be formed, and for formulated ideas to expand beyond their original scope.

On my end, with Conception/Zero the thought was for snippets to loosely go over what went down with the 3 Founding Families in the year leading up to HGW4, and Chapter 2 would cover Waver, Kayneth, Ryuunosuke and Kirei probably. After considering what I would go over in those snippets, I couldn't help but feel that a snippet-length entry wouldn't be adequate for the job. So, Chapter 2 will be another run with the 3 Families and Chapter 3 will finally be the other Masters.

A big part of any creative process is knowing when to put one's foot down and just get something done, huh? With video games, if people were left to just keep tweaking their project and get caught up in feature-creep and so on, they might never get released. Does anybody else ever run into this kinda problem where ideas tend to run loose and get bigger than they originally were, or is it seriously just me and how my mind is very strange with its stuff?

Oh, and I guess since Chapter 2 has indeed changed, I edited the preview lines in the end of Chapter 1 to reflect the new focus. I'll also stick them here so you don't have to jump into the thread just to read them:

Deep down, that is why you are my husband.

I won't let her get involved, I can't!!

These are not manners befitting of the King of Knights!

I shall be as Satan, the Sentinel of Judgment himself.

Should you go down this path, you may lose everything.

My child... Are you ready to play God?
