Remember when this was mindblowing? Some of you might not even have been born yet, and that's a shame. In fact, I know a few of you who come across this weren't born when this came out. While I don't knock the 3D era, stuff like this are why if I want to make a game, 2D is still going to be an option for me. (Actually, that long-simmering Fate/Other Side project of mine is pretty much guaranteed to be 2D.)

Also, props for having the Atlantic Ocean Tunnel and (especially) Niagara Falls, my favorite two stages in the game.

    To me, it was the original OutRun. That was actually the very first arcade game I ever played. That Sega Blue Sky and Splash Wave are forever burned into my mind. That and Afterburner became an obsession to me before things like the TMNT game showed up.

    Lol, I remember seeing a post online saying one true way to see if you were a gamer was if you are completely unable the say the phrase "Hydro Thunder" in a normal voice.


    Back on target, though, Sega Racers are best racers. Not only Outrun, but Hang On, Daytona, Sega GT, Rad Mobile, Sega Rally, etc. Always the best!
