That Awkward Moment When You Realize Your Life Revolves Around Your Computer

Rate this Entry
So my dad has not given me a date on which I get my computer back (I haven't asked about it, so it's status is still unknown) and it's been a week since I had it.

I now realize just how many hours there are in the day.

Without school, and because most of my friends live either in another state or far enough where driving is a hassle, I have way, way too much free time.

I have attempted to fill this void with reading, visiting the library (where I am typing this right now) martial arts, and me being sick enough that I thought I was going to cough out my lungs, and video games (Replaying Z.H.P being my current obsession and probably actually getting to finishing Skyward Sword will be next). I still end up with about three or four hours of time where I am staring at my ceiling and wondering what the hell could I do to fill up the time.

I mean, don't get me wrong. I agree that I was spending way too much time on my computer, but dear god, not having a computer at all is really starting to get to me. I think I spend half an hour looking at my computer charging cord and wondering if I could cobble together a netbook from my psp, the old modem downstairs that no one is using, and the TV in my room that is useless because we have no cable and I'm too lazy to bring a console into my room.

And now I realize I sound like an addict.

I need a job or something...
