Hey everybody everybody! I read the eighth part of Kara no Kyoukai!
And it was nothing special.
Honestly, I don't think we're missing out on much from this not being animated. Part 5 and 7 are still the highlights for me.
Well, okay, there is one thing I like about Mirai Fukuin. I had to look up pictures to confirm this, but my moe senses did not fail me!
Mana-chan is really really really kee-yeute!
She looks like a cross between Azaka and Miyako from Melty Blood, yet somehow looks cuter than the both of them! Why must this bundle of kawaii be confined to Mirai Fukuin!?

Oh yeah, remember I said I was closer to finishing the epilogue of Endless Number of Possibilities than the penultimate chapter? It's a reality. I already finished it. This second-to-last chapter is challenging! I had to do something crazy . . . I had to actually fire up my copy of FSN and replay parts of it just to get something right! I mean, who does that!? Consulting the source material for a fanfic!? This is madness!
But I found something amusing. All of my save files in FSN has names denoting where I saved them. Some of them are spoilerific, but I gotta share some of them with you! Check this out:
(From Fate route): "SUMMON SABER ALREADY, GOD DAMN IT!" (Yes, I wrote that in all caps.) "Help! I'm being hit on by a child!" (Please don't remind me of Ilya's background. I didn't know that at the time.) "Girls I can never look at the same ever again." (It was referring to Saber and Rin. Figure this one out yourselves.) "Gilgamesh is a prick." (Ya think!?)
(From UBW route): "Tohsaka is being a bully" (She was!) "Tohsaka; scariest teenage girl ever." (And to think, she became my favorite character. Am I a closet masochist?) "Archer is fucking with me, I swear!" (This is all the more hilarious in hindsight.)
(From HF route): "Oh gawd! Tohsaka looks angry!" (It deserves to be repeated) "SHINJI!!!!!!!!!" (Guess the choice for this save. Go on, guess.) "FINISH HER!" (If you get this reference, you have full permission to execute me.)
Oh, DP, I know you're reading this. It seems we're both struggling to complete our own Nasuverse fanfics. No, I'm not inviting you to a contest to see who can finish theirs first. I was just curious, it's past the first of June now. How's Of Leaves and Lilac holding up? I still have the PDF version of the first chapters saved on my hard drive.

And now for something different. I can play emulated console games again! Without fail!
There was one caveat though. One of my SNES ROMs had it save files deleted. More specifically, my ROM for Super Mario RPG. It's been a few years . . . so I started playing again. I came across some strange graphical glitches the last time I played, but on my current emulator, it runs just like how it did on the actual SNES!
But my friends, I have something to divulge. It's about grinding. Anyone who's played a stat-based RPG knows what I'm talking about. One thing I like about SMRPG is it doesn't take as long to grind for levels as in other games, but it's still necessary. I have, just now, figured out how to make this more appealing.
Alright, I'm probably not the first gamer to do this, but I must share. Mute the volume on your game, (or in my case, emulator.) Then, blast music of your choice. It really helps when all you're doing is farming for XP and money. "But, I'm playing FF6/Chrono Trigger/Xenogears/Some Game with a really awesome score! I'm not turning that off!" Okay, many famous RPGs have great music already, but even the same battle theme gets monotonous over and over.
This is why you configure a playlist. This way, you can grind all along the tower, since today is a nice day for a white wedding. Top it off with some Rumba Rumba, and end your grind session by asking yourself, "Who's Bad?" See how fun grinding becomes!?
Lastly, if anyone cares, I'm now in the 4th War Rider club.
