Turns out we can't use our grill for awhile. Mom chased off a chipmunk on Saturday and cleaned out the nest she was building, and Mama Chipmunk got back at her by getting back in there, building another nest, and having four babies.

Scared the crap out of Mom, needless to say. She was cursing up a storm when she first found them.

We'll leave them alone for awhile. They look like newborns, so we don't want to risk moving them, especially if their mama can't find where we put them. Mom actually didn't mind them too much after she calmed down, it was just the initial shock of seeing small, pink wriggling things startled her, I think.

... At least, Dad thinks they're chipmunks. I figure they're either mice babies or chipmunk babies, and Dad's been saying the chipmunks are coming back. I suppose we'll know for sure once they get some fur.
