On: Vampires

It's been a while since I returned to my first love.
I blame the blasphemous abomination called Twilight for forcing me underground in it with my life off the internet; it's damn near impossible to avoid that reference, these days.
I once got smacked in the face by an irate fan of the series when I said the series was terrible. True story, happened during a town-wide yard sale. Only the age difference kept me from hitting the kid back; didn't want the trouble. (worse, it was a boy. what?!)
But yes, my first love: Vampires.
I would not be the person I am today if I didn't discover Vampire: the Masquerade at an age when I probably shouldn't have been allowed to read anything by White Wolf, period. It led me to a bunch of other materials and is, oddly enough, one of the two franchises that got me into vampires to begin with. (Second was the Legacy of Kain series of video games).
Which is, originally, what led me to Type-Moon. I knew what Tsukihime was before I knew Fate/Stay Night existed, though I still haven't played the former myself. If I had, I'd be writing a lot of drabbles on that.
...
So, um, yeah, I'm rambling.
Point is, vampires.
Blame them, ultimately, for me being here and being the person you all know.
I bring it up because writing Dead Apostle!Rin and Altrouge Brunestud has been a blast lately.
Definitely going to do more on that.
